The paper “Artificial intelligence and capsule endoscopy: automatic detection of enteric protruding lesions using a convolutional neural network” was selected as the highlight of the latest issue of Revista Española de Enfermedades Digestivas, the official journal of the Spanish Society for Gastrointestinal Diseases and the Spanish Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
In this paper, our group demonstrates the effectiveness of a convolutional neural network for the detection of protruding lesions of the small bowel in capsule endoscopy images. Our model demonstrated an overall accuracy of 93%.
It is a great for our group to have our work recognised by the prestigious Spanish Society for Gastrointestinal Diseases.
